Stitch Therapy

Discovering me … one stitch at a time

Tuesday Thoughts

I’m enjoying this routine of blogging each day. Maybe it is obvious to you as the reader, but I never really have a plan about what to write. Usually I look through phone pictures from the last few days and a theme emerges. Today there is no such theme, so brace yourself for some randomness.

I am now on Week 2 of Couch to 5K. It’s still fun even though I wasn’t really feeling it yesterday. My knee started hurting so I bought myself a snazzy new knee brace. I felt like an official runner talking about my “knee injury.” Then I got to the gym and the girl on the treadmill next to me was running SOOOOO FAST, like lightning fast! Then I stopped feeling like an official runner and more like the middle aged out-of-shape mom with a knee brace listening to the 80s station on Pandora that I am. Le blergh.

I’m glad to be stitching again. I started the cat, who is currently looking like a zombie cat with creepy eyes. I kinda wish that I had changed him to grey to look like Charlie, but that would have required thinking and planning.

One of the things that I most appreciate about my family is that we are always laughing. What a silly bunch! The other day, I asked Tom to fold some laundry. This is how I found him when I walked by later. I guess it’s hard to resist warm laundry from the dryer.

I know that I’m his mom and therefore biased, but isn’t he such a good artist? 9 years old!

Happy Tuesday, Friends!

Wandering + Wondering

  1. haha I am a 90’s station gal myself, but I am in the same boat ;).
And your son definitely has some skill! If he’s serious about artwork Adobe has a program called Illustrator that he might like.

  2. lol. Sometimes I mix it up and listen to the 90s. πŸ˜‰

I’ve taught him some Illustrator and he loves to use it. I just don’t love him messing around on my computer. Haha.

PS. Where have you been? Going to catch up on your blog now!

  3. it’s all eighties and nineties over here πŸ™‚

  4. Your cross stitching is looking wonderful! The kitty is cute even though he isn’t gray like Charlie. Warm laundry is so wonderful this time of year. I’ve been known to throw a small blanket in the dryer to get it all warm and toasty and throw it over me while I stitch. It’s all good until the hot flash kicks in. Ugh. And yes, you have quite the artist on your hands. The drawing looks like Charizard.

  5. I love that you know Charizard!

  6. Both of my boys were into Pokemon and when you want to hang out with the kiddos, you learn what they are into. I was even Gym Leader at one of the shop where the kids went to “battle”. I still have all of my Pokemon cards and decks πŸ˜‰

  7. I bought Littlest some French Pokemon cards on my trip. He got a kick out of them!

I love to hear from you!
