Stitch Therapy

Discovering me … one stitch at a time

Hello Monday.

I’m running out of things to blog about since I:

1. barely cross stitch these days,

2. am cranky,

3. talk incessantly about my cat.

Stephanie and I did finally make it to dinner and it was FUN!

Drinks on the water = YAY!

This weekend it RAINED so I stayed inside and worked on hemming curtains for our bedroom. Yes, it only took me 3 years to hang curtains. I like them, but the hems are crooked. How hard is it to sew even lines? (angry face emoticon)

Man hanging things = SEXY!

The boys turned their room into a private billiards club complete with comfy lounge chairs.

The eye masks were a nice touch. That’s one classy lounge.

Luckily they said that we could be members of their club. We spent an evening hanging out and it was indeed quite relaxing and comfortable. They look like first class passengers on a transatlantic flight.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there. Charlie discovered his shadow! Hilarity ensued.

The End.

(not so) Deep thoughts

Summer fun

  1. Jenifer

Love the eye masks on the chairs.
You can never talk about your cat too much. Trust.

  2. Curtains are the one thing I can do OK on. Once I’ve made the top, I use one of Simon’s tape measures to mark several times where I want the bottom hem to go. Then I place the pins horizontally and fold on that line, ironing as I go. Takes quite a bit of time but it works.

  3. Sewing a straight line can be tricky. I also use a tape measure and mark and iron and pin. It is time consuming, but the results are worth it. Sounds like your summer is nice and relaxing.

  4. It would be relaxing if it weren’t for these darn curtains! haha 🙂

  5. My problem is that I am so impatient about pinning and ironing. Ugh!

  6. Lol. Glad that you agree about cat talk! 🙂

  7. Maybe do a poofy valance and then it won’t matter if the hem isn’t perfect. Or make them go to the floor with extra fabric piled on the floor for that soft romantic look. No stressing!

  8. Haha. I think you’re onto something! 😉

  9. For someone who has run out of blog topics you certainly managed an entertaining post 😉

P.S. We can never have enough of Charlie 😀

I love to hear from you!
