Discovering me … one stitch at a time

Stuff I did

Hi Poor Neglected Blog!

Thanksgiving already seems long gone, but I hope that you all had wonderful celebrations with your friends and family.

Here’s what we have been up to:

We ran our first 5K as a family!

It was really fun and I am so proud of everyone. The best part was the couples massage that Tom and I treated ourselves to the following day. If races=massages, then sign me up for more!

I got some Halloween makeup kits on clearance intending to save them for next year, but someone was bored and wanted to try one. Is this creepy or what?

The weather has been crazy. Last weekend, we went from this during the day (in short sleeves)

to this at night (flurries and our first fire of the season!).

I tried my hand at crocheting again, but couldn’t remember how to “turn”, so here is my very long skinny “scarf.” Voila!

Tom found the perfect Christmas sweater (that cat!!!).

Speaking of cats, this guy was 100% anti-cat before we got Charlie. I think that he’s grown on him.

I mean, how could he not? Charlie is the BEST (ALL THE HEART EYES!) even when he drops a dead mouse right next to me (such as he did last week).

OH CHARLIE! Don’t ever change!

The Grumps

  1. yipes. the halloween make-up mask is terrifying. i just pulled a muscle in my upper back, simply by turning my head. i could use a massage. sigh… did we get these types of body pains when we were younger? — i wish i liked cats. it would be so easy to have one, vs. a dog which i really really want.

are you making xmas gifts this year?

    my list is:
    — holiday card with fabs: done and going in the mail early next week
    — small sweet owl ornament: in progress
    — 2 little stuffed whales
    — xmas cookies: this year i may go for size vs. variety (3 larger kinds vs. 8+ tiny ones)
    — knit fabian a hat: so far he refused since he eventually loses them, but i have tons of wool and needles and some time

  2. I have had so many aches and pains lately and am just creaky overall. Sigh… it seems like a recent thing.
I remember your cute Toby Dog.
I don’t think there will be any hand made gifts this year. 🙁 I am very impressed with your list!
