Instead of getting the nice weather that the weatherman promised, we got more snow! It started to fall early Thursday morning and fell and fell and fell.
School was cancelled and the roads were a disaster so I stayed home from work. As much as I’m tired of Winter, an unexpected day off is always a treat. It’s as if we have no choice but to slow down and enjoy all of those at-home cozy activities.
There was a lot of snow.
One of these years we will remember to put the lawn furniture away before Winter.
The kitchen was a mess because I was pretty much in it the entire day (my favorite place to be!).
There were muffins to make…
And eat! Here is Charlie scheming how to get one for himself.
And bread to bake
There is something so satisfying about having pans of fresh rolls rising on the stove (mismatched linens for bonus points).
I tried a new bean prepping technique (in the crockpot!) and it worked like a dream!
And made spaghetti sauce (no pics… oh well).
Of course there was some drawing.
And maybe a little stitching.
Until someone wanted to get into the act.
YAY for snow days!
Ginny
Looks like you had a nice day at home. It is nice to slow down and change it up a bit every now and then.
