Discovering me … one stitch at a time

In Pursuit

Hi Blog!

It was very unproductive around here this weekend, between having my nose stuck in a new library book (about that scandalous Henry VIII) and playing Pokemon Go.

I was so lazy and barely left the house, except to chase Pokemon in the yard. Tom took this picture of me while in hot pursuit of one. This game is so addictive!

By Saturday night, everyone was getting a little bored so we went to the mall to run some errands. I had heard through the grapevine that the Summer edition of CrossStitcher was finally available here in the US, so you better believe that we went to Barnes & Noble to look for it.

Imagine the disappointment when I found this big EMPTY space where CrossStitcher should be. It was sold out!

We are a determined bunch though, and this just meant a trip to a different Barnes & Noble. Behold… the Summer issue in which yours truly is a correspondent!

  1. and the book was…? Come on, don’t tease 🙂 I loved The Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes, would totally recommend that one (also post on theartofsimple.net today was affirming how powerful yes can be). And I’m still waiting on that edition! Going to hopefully collect today.

I’ll have to track down that magazine! My two hooligans are completely Pokemon obsessed – isn’t it fun??

  3. I will definitely be looking for that magazine here, but our selection of cross stitch magazines here are pretty slim pickings. I am afraid to download Pokemon Go to my phone as I may become addicted. Hubby downloaded it on his this last weekend and while he hasn’t gone crazy wild with it, he has caught quite a few pokemon already. I am glad to see everyone having so much fun with it. Even my 2 older boys have caught Pokemon fever.

  4. Lol- it is definitely pretty addictive!

  5. Yes! We’ve been having so much fun with it. I think that I might be more obsessed than my son!

I love to hear from you!
