Stitch Therapy

Discovering me … one stitch at a time

Today is my birthday! It’s hard to believe that I’ve been writing on this blog for almost 3 1/2 years now. How time flies!

I was in North Carolina the past few days for work. When I lived in North Carolina many years ago, I wasn’t so wild about it, but can see the appeal now that I am older and yearning for a slow paced life. There was so much green space compared to Philadelphia. Maybe someday when the kids are all grown, we can move. Wonder if I’ll still be writing on this blog!

It was a busy trip, but there was time to stitch in the hotel and on the plane. I didn’t feel like packing a big project so I brought Modern Folk’s pretty little pattern “Let’s Be Kind.” It was the perfect size for a cramped plane ride and a perfect sentiment to remember when traveling and everyone in the airport is in a rush and cranky.

Hotel stitching (Note remote control that I didn’t have to share with anyone.)

My favorite part of traveling is always coming home. It is the nicest feeling to walk through the door and be greeted with big smiles and hugs. I wouldn’t trade that for anything!

  2. Thank you! 🙂

  3. Very very happy birthday!

  4. Happy birthday to you. This looks like a sweet little chart. Is their any problem with taking a small scissors on a plane? Or do you use one of those little cutters. I know longer stitch in public because of my eyes, although I do it a lot in hotels.

  5. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY DEAREST FAWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love and hugs, M

  6. Happy Birthday! I hope you had a fabulous day! Love your “travel project”. Perfect size and uncomplicated for on the go.

  7. Julie

    Happy Belated Birthday! 🙂

  8. Thank you! 🙂

  9. Thanks! 🙂

  10. Thank you very much!

  11. It is legal to take small embroidery scissors on the plane, but I always worry that the TSA agent won’t know this and confiscate my favorite scissors! I usually use a nail clipper or a little thread cutter.

  12. Thank you dearest Melania! xoxox!

  13. Happy Birthday! I hope you had an amazing day! I love your new project- I bet having only one color was easy for the plane 🙂 Glad you had fun in NC (born there and still here).

  14. Thank you! I didn’t realize that you live in NC! It is so beautiful there!

I love to hear from you!
