Discovering me … one stitch at a time

Around here

Hi Blog!

We currently have house guests. While it is always nice to see the people who come to visit, house guests make me so angsty and stressed. I am truly a creature of habit and solitude, best when surrounded with only my routines and people (and cat).

What has been going on around here? Let me tell you.

There was a big storm and our basement flooded. It sucked.

My Littlest celebrated his 9th birthday. Guess he’s not so little anymore. I sure do love that chatty, funny, spirited, thoughtful kid.

We have fully embraced the Zoodle. They are so good! From this…

To this! Ta-daaa! You almost forget that you’re eating something healthy (ick!).

Tom and I went to see Billy Joel in concert.

We had terrible seats, but have fun no matter what.

Charlie discovered OUTSIDE and he really likes it. I was surprised when I was going about my business and spotted this Peeping Tom (Charlie) in the window.

Hope that you’re enjoying these last days of Summer!

Goodbye Summer.

  1. It looks like you had a big week! I totally understand being a creature of habit- I have a house guest coming this weekend myself. How did Charlie get outside!? 🙂 He’s such a funny cat; I always love reading your updates about him.

  2. Hello! I’ve found you through your comment on my blog – thank you! Your blog is lovely and you have a Charlie!! My best friend growing up had a Charlie that looked so much like yours that your pictures took me right back to a really happy memory.
Also, so nice to meet a fellow stitcher – your work is lovely!
    Nice to meet you!

  3. PS. We are in agreement completely over house guests 😉

  4. Hope that you had fun with your houseguest! We had all of the doors open when our basement flooded, so Charlie seized the opportunity. He’s been trying to sneak out constantly now. He always comes right back to the door when he’s ready to come inside, so we might have to just accept that he’ll be an indoor/outdoor cat.

  5. Hi! Thanks for visiting and commenting! It’s so fun to meet other stitchers. 🙂

Everyone needs a Charlie in their life! haha

  6. One… More… Day…!!!

  7. I am like you. I like my house, with the normal people, and my normal routine. I do get a little cranky when things are out of wack in my little bubble 😉

  8. I think we stitchers have similar temperaments! 🙂

  9. I think so, too 😉

I love to hear from you!
