Stitch Therapy

Discovering me … one stitch at a time

Around here

It has been so long since the last post! In the last 9 days…

I accidentally flushed my fitbit down the toilet. I know, how does that kind of thing even happen? But it happened. Is it even worth it to move now that I don’t get credit for it? #lazygirlproblems

I’ve been commuting a lot to NYC which means train time to cross stitch.

Making progress and feeling reinvigorated now that I’ve gotten past the lady! Can you see the man emerging with his little top hat and bobbed hair? Haha. What a looker!

I’ve been having tummy troubles (for years) and have not had much success with doctors on the matter. Recently, I decided to give gluten-free a try to see if it helps. So far, it has! But it’s too early to know if it’s just coincidence or the real deal. (And, yes… the painful irony that I finally baked a good loaf of bread!)

I’ve been eating lots of zoodles…

And Asian dishes…

And we are loving gluten free chocolate chip cookies! Rice flour is my new best friend!

We enjoyed some fishing…

And Biggest earned his Arrow of Light award in Scouts. I’m proud of him for sticking with it considering he’s wanted to quit a bajillion times over the years. (And I’m beyond THRILLED to be ending my illustrious tenure as a Scout leader!)

Awful lighting, no makeup, rambunctious kids, and lazy cat… This is pretty much sums up life around here. I wouldn’t want it any other way.

The Struggle is Real

  1. Great progress! Love the last pic- that is a PERFECT evening!

  2. HI! Thanks!!! I just noticed that I am somehow not getting your posts in my feed and have so much to catch up on! Off to read your blog now!!!

  3. I think it is a busy time of year for a lot of people. Especially those with kids in school as I remember this time is crazy for school trying to cram in so much at the end of the year. There is a blood test the doctor can do to determine if you are allergic to gluten. Or maybe you have a wheat intolerance and going gluten free would nip it in the bud. Hopefully you can get it figured out. But I here going gluten free can’t hurt anyone. I want to eat zoodles! I need to get me one of those little gadgets that can turn my zucchini and squash into noodles. Is it a Pampered Chef product? Your stitching is coming along wonderfully and I can see the little man with his funky hair do!

  4. Hi Ginny! I had that test and it came back negative, but I still have so many issues. Will see how this goes. Right now the withdrawal is painful!!! I got the zoodle gadget for cheap. It’s called the Vegetti and I’ve seen it at target and Walmart. Super easy to use!

  5. I do hope you can figure out your issue. I had hoped to stop at Target or Walmart this weekend, but didn’t make it. Hopefully I can get there this week as I have some squash and zucchini in the fridge and would love to have zoodles! Thanks for the info 😉

Well, I dropped not one – but two iphones in the toilet about a year apart from each other so I understand completely. My husband took them in (we own and operate a local Apple retail store – not a franchise, our own – MacOutpost) and the service guys dubbed them the iPotties. Sigh. They were ruined and John most MOST displeased. I did however finally learn my lesson and no longer carry it in my back pocket…..

  7. iPotties! Hilarious!!! Good thing you have a Mac store! That would be my son’s dream come true.

Your son is welcome to visit any time – we’ll put him to work. 🙂

I love to hear from you!
